There was a lot of excitement in the air Saturday night as the 64th Annual Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner held at the Dempsey Holder Safety Center.
Excellent appetizers and mixing started off the fun dinner. When I walked in the room you couldn't help but have your breath taken by all the time and work that went into decorating the room for dinner. It felt like a night at the Oscars or you were in a night out with the stars as there were silver stars hung down from the ceiling and miniature Oscar Style statues on every table.
The Dinner was fantastic as well with your choice of Prime Rib or Salmon for the main course and the desserts were mouth watering and decadent.
After the dinner they held an auction.. The highlight of the auction was when a package was put up for bidding to have "Dinner with the Imperial Beach Fire Department" was auctioned off. The winning bid for that was $600 and got everyone into the spirit of bidding for the other prizes and gifts that were auction off after that.
After dinner everyone broke to go outside for dancing with to a great music played by a DJ and the new Board for the Chamber was sworn in.
I'd especially like to thank the sponsors of the dinner who made it possible and specificially EDDO who was nice enough to give me a $75 ticket to attend the event.

I also would like to thank the IB Chamber of Commerce for all they do to support all of IB's Small Businesses. If we don't support and keep our small business we will end up over developed by chain stores.
