We're so pleased that you are interested in volunteering with us!  Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and with your help we can build hope for more deserving families.

There are several ways for you to volunteer your time with us:

To get started today, please follow these simple steps: 

  • STEP 1 - View current volunteer opportunities through our volunteer management system, Volunteer Hub.
  • STEP 2 - Select an opportunity that interests you on our events calendar.
  • STEP 3 - Register with Volunteer Hub.
  • STEP 4 - Check back for weekly updates on our calendar for more volunteer opportunities!

OPTIONAL: If you are interested in learning more about San Diego Habitat for Humanity, an orientation meeting is highly encouraged for all volunteers. Orientation meetings are held monthly; kindly check our events calendar to find out when and where the next informational orientation will be held.

*All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.


Habitat’s unique program partners with hardworking families and offers a hand up, not a hand out.  Families are given the opportunity to own a simple, decent and affordable home of their own with a 0%-interest mortgage.  Habitat homes are located throughout San Diego County – Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido, El Cajon, San Diego, National City and Imperial Beach – with more to come!
