Donate to Preserve the Future of Fireworks in Imperial Beach

Jun 23, 2015 06:56PM ● By Paul Spear

Thanks to a grassroots city-wide effort, last year's "Bring Back the Boom" fundraising campaign was a success. In just over a month we raised nearly $18,000 to secure 4th of July Fireworks in Imperial Beach. It was hard work, but worth every minute to see nearly 70,000 people gather along IB's beachfront to celebrate the Fourth.

This year, we're extremely thankful for The Port of San Diego's substantial donation. However, their donation only covers half of the $50,000 needed for fireworks.

I HEART IB and the Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce have committed to help raise the funds to cover the remaining costs.

Independence Day is less than two weeks away and we're still short of our goal.  Please contact Candy with your support!
