With the IB Sand Castle Event as an opening scene in his book “TECATE PEAK, The Edge”, Michael Hudon, local Author/Producer, looks to begin Filming his Book Trailer in the IB Area soon!  Michael is seeking additional help with sponsors, crew, a van, and extras. Helpers will receive Film Credits as compensation for their efforts.

Phil Oakley, the former State of Louisiana Film Commissioner made a reference to TECATE PEAK as being San Diego's equivalent to Breaking Bad (see full review near bottom of article)

Mic, as he is known to his friends is hoping this will turn into a TV Series or Movie. With San Diego area is the backdrop for the book TECATE PEAK Michael is hoping to convince other filmmakers and producers that San Diego is a great place for the film industry and hopes it will return the glory years back to San Diego where many famous movies and TV Shows were filmed. TV shows include: Terriers on FX (2010),  Renegade on USA Network (1992-1997), Simon & Simon on CBS (1981-1988) and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. on CBS (1964-1969).

Local IB Business owner, Rick Alverez of Boca Rio Ink, is providing special hats and badges needed for uniforms and helping out in a big way! Family Market & $1 Plus will be providing items also. Again, Mic is seeking additional help with sponsors, crew, a van, extras and a few more items. He is also searching for a house around the South Hollister area (to film in front of). Sponsors and anyone who helps will receive Film Credits as compensation for their efforts.

Michael Joseph "Mic" Hudon (born September 26, 1961) is an actor, writer, and producer. He is also working as an Assistant Director and soon will give Directing a try. He has been in many great film shorts as well as full length feature films. Michael did theatre as well as commercials. Recently Michael has been an active SAG-AFTRA member in San Diego, CA.

Some of you may have seen Michael on TV and not even known it was him. People call him and say “I just saw the Mission Federal Credit Union commercial or some other work he has been in.

Book review and some of his film credits below:

San Diego's Equivalent of Breaking Bad, October 17, 2014

By Phil Oakley (former State of Louisiana Film Commissioner)

This review is from: Tecate Peak: The Edge (Kindle Edition)

Tecate Peak is a masterful and riveting must read about the terrors today’s America faces encapsulated into the magical setting of California’s southernmost conglomerated city. The scenery is beautiful, but the terrain and often life in this world the reader becomes immediately absorbed into can sting, torment and crush.
This suspense filled chronicle is more balanced than Breaking Bad, but every bit as captivating. It explains the terror the world of 2014 faces without the hopelessness conveyed by the television mega hit.

Tecate Peak is set in the vastly diverse world of San Diego County, where the threats and wonder of life in our times converge. The characters make you a part of their lives before the end of the first page and the reader quickly becomes a part of their circle for the rest of the book.
Tecate Peak should quickly become a bestseller. The writing is accomplished and never gets in the way of the story. The descriptions place the reader beside the characters, seeing what they see and feeling what they feel.
I feel quite strongly that Tecate Peak will be San Diego’s equivalent to Breaking Bad. I don’t know whether it is more likely to become a made for cable series or a feature. But either way, It seems to be destined for the screen.
When you’re finished with Tecate Peak, I think you will find it as hard to believe as I did that this amazing novel is Michael Hudon’s first book. Buy it. I promise you will not be disappointed.
