IB City Council Budget Workshop, held Wednesday, was First of 3 Meetings to be Held on Budget!

May 15, 2015 11:47AM ● Published by Paul Spear

The meeting Wednesday night was the first of at least three meetings the City Council will be holding on the budget. Staff reviewed the proposed budget with the elected officials and discussed the potential capital improvements projects. The members of the City Council asked some great questions, but most of them did not result in any substantive changes to the budget. The proposed budget represents a balanced General Fund with budget reserves within the established 30-40% range as required by Council policy.

The next meeting on the budget will be on June 3 with another meeting on June 17 when it is anticipated the budget will be adopted.

A special thanks to Andy Hall, City Manager, for providing details of the meeting!
