Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 15, 2015. Imperial Beach residents are encouraged to help participants reach a goal to log 25,000 miles - the equivalent of one trip around the world and one million calories burned!
Registration is on a first come, first-served basis, so make sure to
take the pledge by April 30!
Bike to Work Day is a nationally recognized event celebrated annually on the third Friday in May. Since May is National Bike Month, San Diegans have opportunities to GO by BIKE all month long. Bike Month 2015 supports riding a bike as a viable, environmentally friendly, cost-saving commute choice.
Bike to Work Day pledge is now open. Join thousands of bike riders throughout the San Diego region on the morning of Bike to Work Day as we attempt to log 25,000 miles – the equivalent of one trip around the world and one million calories burned! Log your Bike to Work Day trip in TripTracker to make sure you’re counted and to be entered to win prizes, including a new bike! Remember, the only way to help us reach our goal of 25,000 miles on Bike to Work Day – and the only way to win prizes – is to log your trips.Pledge to GO by BIKE!
*Registration will close on May 15.
Pit Stop Registration is now open. Pit stops are a great way for organizations to get involved on Bike to Work Day. They offer fun breaks for new and experienced bike riders to rest and pick up FREE t-shirts, snacks, and encouragement. An estimated 100 pit stops will be available from 6 to 9 a.m. Check back in early May for a map of all pit stop locations. For information on hosting a pit stop, please visit our registration page.
*Registration will close on Friday, April 3.
Bike to Work employer pledge now open. Employers can get rolling too! Prepare your employees to GO by BIKE by taking advantage of FREE bike services offered by iCommute. First, pledge to get your employees ready for Bike to Work Day 2015, and help us reach our goal of 25,000 logged miles – the equivalent of one trip around the world and one million calories burned. Once your organization has pledged, register for a free, on-site bike education class to get employees comfortable with riding, or a bike mini tune-up event to make sure bikes are road-ready. You can also host a pit stop!
*Registration will close on April 30.
