American Cancer Society Relay For Life of IMPERIAL BEACH

Will Hold Kickoff on Saturday, March 21, 2015


Imperial Beach, CA  -  March 21, 2015 -- The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Imperial Beach will hold a kickoff for the annual event on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 11:00am at Imperial Beach City Hall Community Room, 825 Imperial Beach Blvd.

Imperial Beach, CA 91932. The Society is inviting people who are interested in learning more and getting involved in the event to attend.


The kickoff program will honor cancer survivors and caregivers and feature the Society’s mission to save lives from cancer. Speakers will include our Hero of Hope. Attendees will have the opportunity to register a team for the Relay For Life event, which will be held August 1st  - 2nd at Mar Vista High School football field.


Relay For Life is a community event where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times and participates in fundraising that supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and finish the fight against cancer. Four million people participated in more than 6,000 events worldwide in 2014. This year, 2015, IMPERIAL BEACH RELAY for LIFE has high hopes to raise $30,000.00 and be the best we’ve ever been! 30 teams, 30 Survivors leading the way, giving us HOPE!  COME BE A PART OF OUR HOMETOWN RELAY..  You’ll not for a second regret it!
