Beach Closure Extended to Silver Strand as of March 2nd. This includes: Tijuana Slough, Imperial Beach, and the Silver Strand

As of March 2nd the beach closures were extended from the Mexican Border to extend up to include the Silver Strand. The following was released with the closure announcement: Avoid water contact in the closure area due to sewage-contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River. The closure includes the following stations: The ocean shoreline from U.S. / Mexico border to the north end of the Silver Strand, including Border Field State Park, Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge, Imperial Beach, and Silver Strand shorelines
