The IB Sports Park was full of activities. From IB Girls Softball evals to IB Little League practice game, skateboards and park enjoyers, everyone was enjoying the great weather we had today.

With a beautiful spring like day and the temperature topping 80% F, there were tons of people enjoying the Sports Park today.

The Imperial Beach Girls Softball held their evaluations (tryouts) today in preparation of their league opening game and season starting on Saturday February 28th.  Evals were held for girls 10 to 18 and the league has teams for girls starting at T-Ball up (8 up) to Girls Fast Pitch with teams at different levels from 10 up to teams for 16 to 18.  Their home games will be played at the IB Sports Park while they will travel to nearby cities for their other games.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Beach Boys Little League had practice games going on. They now have a “Minor League” for boys 7 to 11 and a “Major League for older ages. They are also looking for score keepers and offering rides to the game for anyone willing to keep score. The President of the league, Don Spicer, who just won an award at the Mayors "State of the City and Community Awards Celebration" is the best person to contact if you have an interest in keeping score.

Skateboarders were also enjoying the beautiful day at the IB Skate Park and children were busy playing on the equipment in the sandbox or watching the other activities going all.

In all, it was a great day to live in Imperial Beach and enjoying the IB Sports Park.
