Imperial Beach Mayor, Serge Dedina, to Speak at Kiwanis on Tuesday. Unfortunately unless you are a member or get an invite from one, the meeting is closed to the public. Hopefully we will have coverage for you.

The Kiwanis also will be awarding their "Student of the Month" at their meeting Tuesday.

Founded in 1915 and headquartered In Indianapolis, Indiana. Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service – Community minded men and woman who support children and young adults around the world. It has more than 13,000 clubs in over 90 countries make their mark responding to the needs of their communities and pool their resources to address worldwide issues. Through these efforts, Kiwanis International is truly “Serving the Children of the World”.

Locally the Kiwanis have many service projects. Just to name a few are: “The Student of the Month” for the SBUSD, Key Club, Fishing Derby, Miracle Mile of Quarters and more!

Meetings are held at the Boys and Girls Club at 847 Encina Ave, Imperial Beach, CA 91932. They take place the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 12:15 pm to 1pm. For more information contact: Gary Triesehman @ 619-517-4755
