Ed Spriggs and Lorie Bragg Re-Elected to office of City Council in Imperial Beach!

Nov 05, 2014 03:53PM ● Published by Paul Spear

The last results from the State of California show Ed Spriggs and Lorie Bragg being re-elected to the City of Imperial Beach City Council, with 100% of Precincts reporting.  The results have not been certified yet so nothing is official at this point but their doesn’t appear any reason the believe the results will change.

All the election figures were provided by the San Diego Union Tribune and can be viewed for every election in the San Diego area of California as well as major offices at: http://www.utsandiego.com/elections/race/rov/

With 100% of the precincts reporting we had the following results (please note that results are not final until the vote is certified by the State of California.

There were two open seats for City Council in the City of Imperial Beach so the two top vote getters were the ones who will fill those seats.

Ed Spriggs – 1,641 votes or 30.07% of the votes cast

Lorie Bragg – 1,157 votes or 21.20% of the votes cast

Elizabeth Saldana – 1,051 votes or 19.26% of the votes cast

James Kings – 757 votes or 13.37% of the votes cast

Erika Lowery – 440 votes or   8.06% of the votes cast

Valeria Acevez – 412 votes or   7.55% of the votes cast

Unlike the Mayoral race, they seemed to be lots of respect for the other candidates and all campaigns seemed to be cleanly run.
