Sewage Spill in Tijuana closes beaches up to South Seacoast in Imperial Beach. Everything North of South Seacoast is Open!

According to Imperial Beach Lifeguards, everything is closed south of Seacoast Drive for the next 72 hours. Everything north of there is open! So as long as you are in front of property with homes, condos or apartment in Imperial Beach, the water is "Open" for water activities!

Monday many surfers in South County and particularly in Imperial started noticing a strong nasty spell while out surfing. Then later a yellowish looking patch or currant of water was noticed coming from the Tijuana River mouth. Due to a Holiday on Monday, official sources were unavailable to answer phones calls and information from officials south of the border. Apparently Wildcoast, a has a fantastic track  record for coastal environmental concerns and causes, was unable to reach any public officials south of the border as well.

According to Imperial Beach Lifeguards, everything is closed south of Seacoast Drive for the next 72 hours. Everything north of there is open! So as long as you are in front of property with homes, condos or apartment in Imperial Beach, the water is "Open" for water activities!
