IB Kiwanis team and Imperial Beach Firefighters raise money for "Kids Day" to benefit Rady Children's Hospital!

Janet Wraight led an Imperial Beach Kiwanis team of Sha-Ron Cobb, Valerie
Acevez, Gary Trieschman, Dana Tomlinson, Tracey Rivera, Melanie Ellsworth,
Tina Blinsman,and Angie Hester that raised $330 for Rady Children's Hospital last Tuesday
as part of a region-wide effort that raised over $100,000 for the hospital. The Kiwanis
team worked at the intersection of 13th and Imperial Beach Blvd. while Imperial
Beach Firefighters worked at another intersection and raised additional funds.

Rady Children's Hospital is the largest children's hospital in California and works
exclusively on pediatric healthcare. It's associated with UCSD as a teaching
hospital for future pediatricians, and it is a research center in conjunction with
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and UCSD.
