I couldn’t think of a more deserving person! Every time I have been at an event in Imperial Beach I have seen Sha-Ron doing something to help others out! The Fishing Derby for the Kids in August, see was there giving her time to make it a better event. Septemberfeast, Sha-Ron helped out. The Sun and Sea Festival, she was there right in the middle helping out.I could go on and on and fill up this whole page with accomplishment of things Sha-Ron has done to help out! However, if you have lived in Imperial Beach for any amount of time, you probably know Sha-ron and the giving person she is!

So the next time you see Sha-Ron, be sure to give her a big "Thank you" for all the things she has done to make IB a better place. This is a very prestigious award to receive from a service club like the Kiwanis.

I remember one day, when I was just getting to know Sha-Ron, I was having extreme back pain. I had had one back procedure and was due for the second part of the procedure in the upcoming week. At the time she had no idea of the extreme pain I was in, that I had a procedure on my back and had another one coming up. I just asked if she could do me a favor and she said "yes"! No "how comes", no "why do you need my help' or "Can't you find someone else", she just knew I needed help and came to the rescue! I think about the only way she could ever know how much her help was greatly appreciated other than to add that story to this article!

So Sha-ron a big congratulations for being the 2013 - 2014 Imperial Beach Southbay Kiwanis "Person of the Year" Award!
