The first day of the Tournament started out rough. Imperial Beach won the first game and lost the second game in pool play So on the second day Imperial Beach ended up being the 4th seed for single elimination round on day two.

Most of the games on the second day were back to back. The first game the team played on day two was a one sided game. The IB Girls won 9 to 4 against “Team Xtreme” from Santana.

The Second game was against “Semi Valley” which the girls won 9 to 8.

The third game was against the “Anaheim Swat”,  the IB Girls Softball team beat the “Swat” 3 to 1 to send them to the Championship Game!

The last and Championship Game was against “Misfits” from Oxnard. IB came up just short to the “Misfits” and ended up second in the Championship Game. This made the “Misfits”  from Oxnard the Champions of the 11 team Triple Crowne Tournament for Girls 12 and under.

Per their manager, Arron Weakley” The girls played hard and with so much passion putting Imperial Beach name outlawing big noise”. “Our pitching was on fore led by Enissa and everyone was on fire hitting wise”. “Thank you ladies for all your hard work”.

A big "Thank you" to the Manager Aaron for the great work they do with the girls and Aaron in particular for making this article possible!

And, of course, to the "Imperial Beach Girls Softball" team that represented the City of IB by doinng such outstanding play "Congratulations and a job well done"
