Khari Johnson, former Patch Editor, Reaches out to Imperial Beach

Sep 18, 2014 04:36PM, Published by Paul Spear, Categories:

Khari got caught up in Patches mass layoff about 9 months ago, In January 2014, when Patched (owned by AOL) decided to go to a different format.

For Khari, this proved to be a blessing. He was already on planning on moving to Finland so he could be with his daughter and mother. It just pushed forward the time frame. He loved IB, it's just "home is where the heart is, right?"
Khari is living in a city called Hämeenlinna. "The double dots over the a are necessary". it's about an hour north of Helsinki, Finland.

Khari is currently building a site to cover crowdfunding journalism called throughcracks.com   it's name is Through the Cracks. the url is throughcracks.com

"i came out here a month after i was laid off but i had planned to come here at that time anyway in March to be with family here so the layoff wasn't bad timing for me".

Khari on Patch & IB: "I'm very grateful for the time i was given and opportunity to build IB Patch
things didn't work out the way i wanted in the end but I feel fortunate to have the chance to get to know a place like IB".
